This is what I see if I walk just 10 minutes away from home. The harvest was in late August but they haven't quite finished their work yet. I like it that way, it gives me one more interesting thing to look at while I'm taking my walks.

Harvest means not long to the short nights and then Winter; damn.
I am sure your nights are already quite long. You can look back fondly at pictures like this.
Welcome to Mono Weekly.
Great shot. I love the way a field being harvested looks.
Lovely crisp image! I like watching the harvesting machines roll up the straw like that.
Here in Norway we call them tractor eggs.
A very nice shot and the field and landscape looks great in B&W!
Lol @ tractor eggs, good name. I like how they are so perfectly lined up. Nice shot!
The first time I have seen this subject in monochrome. A nice variation.
So different from what I see 10 minutes from my house. AThe fields must look golden in the light.
Me too..I just never see this kind of thing- ever! What an awesome photo and story behind it!
A wonderful look it must be. I see the open waters if I walk down 5min.
lovely vista!
Oh, the sky overhead is great! We have those huge hay bales in Texas, but I fondly remember the small square ones. Well, not fondly. I lied. I occasionally had to help stack them. Darn things are heavy, and the baling wire cuts your hands!
I enjoyed this photo!
Oddly, your scene looks like here (Michigan, USA) right now - the field ringed with huge trees, and the big rolls of bales. Barns in the distance.

Pretty ... I snapped a similar shot in Virginia this July ..
Wow. How awesome!
Wow, I like this rolled things. I´ve many photos myself on them.
The stripes in the field are fascinating and provide great texture for your photography.
